Anyone with their eyes open can see for themselves how dark this world of light can be. There is a balance to everything in this life & there must be balance within you before you can see it in the world around you. This balance can only be achieved by opening your eyes fully to the darkness within and completely accepting & integrating it into your being.
A well known whakatauki, (Māori Proverb), states:
“Te tiro atu to kanohi ki tairawhiti ana tera whiti te ra kite ataata ka hinga ki muri kia koe”
‘Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you’
Every time you turn away from your own darkness the shadow aspects of your psychology will stand behind you causing havoc in your life until you turn back around to deal with it – face on!
Life ain’t all love, light & rainbows! The rainbow, (Uenuku), is my God-of-War! When you stand looking at a rainbow, the sun is at your back. This means you are looking directly into darkness. It’s time to move towards that darkness! Now is the time for restoring that much needed balance!
